DILLON BALDASSERO | Composer  | Producer | Creator

At age sixteen, Dillon scored his first short film ("All That You Loved") and instantly fell in love with the powerful combination of music and images to tell a story. Since then, he has composed music for nearly fifty film projects, including several award winning feature films and an original series for the CBC. Two of his most recent feature film projects premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. His web and advertising work span clients such as Toronto's 'Young Empires', Canon, Scotiabank, MuchMusic, Rickard's and more.

Dillon's style can be described as a combination of acoustic and electronic elements to create an emotional and thematic soundscape that first and foremost, communicate a feeling and a narrative.

He studied orchestration through Berklee College of Music and in 2015, and was selected to participate in the ASCAP film scoring workshop in New York City where he mentored under the likes of Sean Callery, Mark Snow and Ira Newborn, among others. In 2016, Dillon completed the Slaight Music Residency through the Canadian Film Centre. He is a member of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada (SCGC), AFM, SOCAN and ACTRA. Currently residing in Toronto, Dillon is always looking for the next project that will inspire him and others.
